The 5K course takes you along wooded rolling hills in the neighborhoods nearby. This event has become a national leader in supporting children’s fitness and raising money for education both locally and overseas. By combining a commitment to fitness with a unique fundraising campaign, Shady Grove and the Spring Zing have attracted local and national media attention. The event has been featured in Runner's World magazine and the Philadelphia Inquirer, and the school’s physical fitness program received the American Running Association’s Youth Fitness Honor Award in June 2005.
