Bauman Drive and Hanover Place Water Main Replacement Project

Water main and services are being replaced on Bauman Drive and Hanover Place in Upper Dublin Township. This project is being completed in cooperation with Upper Dublin Township and Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority (BCWSA).

The installation  and testing of the new ductile iron water main was completed the week of January 22nd. During the next few weeks new services will be installed and connected to the homeowners' existing service lines. This will involve shutting the homeowners' services off during the transfer. Someone from the Authority will contact the affected homeowners prior to their service being shut off. It is anticipated this work will be completed the week of March 5th. Please check back for updates.

Project Background

Approximately 700 feet of 8" main and approximately 900 feet of 6" main that were installed in 1968 will be replaced. The existing main will be replaced with 8" and 6" ductile iron main. Additionally 17 3/4'' copper water services will be replaced with 1" copper water services up to and including the shut off valve (curb box). Once the water main replacement is complete BCWSA will complete their restoration and paving project.

The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority will be installing the water main and services for North Wales Water Authority. Work will be done Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. During this time there will be intermittent water service interruptions, limited on-street parking and periodic road closures. We will work to keep any inconveniences to a minimum. Please drive safely in the work area to protect the workers.
